Pre-submission review
Before uploading illustrations to Adobe Stock, complete the following review steps to help ensure quality and submission readiness:
- Verify resolution and sharpness by examining the illustration at 100% zoom or higher to identify issues that may affect quality or result in rejection.
- Confirm that the illustration is properly cropped and composed to present a strong visual impact.
- Save the illustration as a JPEG in the sRGB color space, meeting the required file size specifications.
- Metadata must be accurate, relevant, and clearly describe the illustration content.
- Prepare any required model or property releases for upload with the illustration.
Illustration submission process
Follow these steps to upload illustrations through the Contributor Portal and complete the required process before submitting the content for review.
In the Contributor Portal, select Upload.
Select Browse, then choose the illustration to Upload.
In the New tab, wait while Adobe Stock automatically generates a preview that matches the uploaded illustration.
Enter the illustration details:
- Category: Select the category that best describes the subject of the illustration.
- Title: Enter a brief, descriptive title that summarizes the illustration content.

Once metadata entry and required releases are complete, select Submit to send the illustration for review.
Submit a maximum of 3 to 5 variations per subject, angle, or concept to avoid similar content flags. Each submission should offer unique value to customers.
The moderation team reviews submissions for quality, legal compliance, and technical standards. Approved content appears in Adobe Stock search results and becomes available for customer licensing. Track the submission status, manage your portfolio, and view earnings in the Contributor Dashboard within the Contributor Portal.
