Export geospatial markups

Learn how to export geospatial location and measurement markups from PDFs in Adobe Acrobat.

Geospatial PDFs often include location markers and measurement markups that represent real‑world coordinates and distances. You can export markups from Acrobat to reuse in other applications, share with collaborators, or archive outside the PDF.

The export includes marked locations created with the Geospatial Location tool and distance, perimeter, and area measurements taken over geospatial content using the Measuring tool .

Open a geospatial PDF in Acrobat.

Select Edit, delete, or reply to comments from the right panel to open the Comments pane.

Select Options in the Comments pane and select Export All To Data File to export all geospatial markups.

Select the desired comments in the pane, select Options , and then select Export Selected To Data File to export specific markups.

Enter a filename for your FDF file and select Save in the Save As dialog box.
