Missing or blank tools pane in Acrobat

Fix the missing, blank, or disappearing tools panel in the new Acrobat experience.
While opening a PDF in Adobe Acrobat, you may find the All tools pane missing or appearing blank. The tools pane may disappear after a recent update or when your account's language setting doesn't match the language of the Acrobat version you have installed. Find the solution that matches your situation below.
A language mismatch is hiding the tool
Select Same as the operating system from the Application Language dropdown menu.
Select OK.
Note
If the missing tool is Request e-signatures, confirm your account includes an Acrobat Sign entitlement. Tool availability can depend on your subscription type.
Recent updates can cause the tools panel to appear blank
The All Tools panel may open but display no tools in the New Acrobat experience after a recent update. Switch to the classic Acrobat view to access the left pane.
To return to your previous experience:
- Windows: Select Menu > Disable new Acrobat
- macOS: Select View > Disable new Acrobat
In the Restart Acrobat dialog box, select Restart to launch the previous experience.
