AI Assistant doesn’t appear in Acrobat

Plan doesn’t include generative AI features

Sign in using the Adobe ID associated with a plan that includes generative AI.

Confirm that your plan supports generative AI features.

If you use an enterprise account, contact your IT administrator to ensure generative AI is enabled for your organization.

Acrobat isn't updated

Update Acrobat to the latest version. Learn how to update Acrobat manually.

Restart the application after updating.

Test the generative AI features again.

Classic Acrobat doesn’t support generative AI

Turn on the new Acrobat experience:

  • On Windows, go to Menu > Enable new Acrobat.
  • On macOS, go to View > Enable new Acrobat.

PDF is incompatible with generative AI features

Ensure your PDF isn’t password-protected or has usage restrictions.

Verify that you're not working with a PDF portfolio.

Language support isn't available
