AI Assistant chat history
Learn about chat history behavior and limitations in Acrobat AI Assistant.
Acrobat chat history includes your textual prompts and generated responses for a single document or for a PDF Space that contains multiple documents. AI Assistant may also use chat history as context when responding to your prompts.
Access chat history
Chat history is accessible for the relevant file or PDF Space from the list of recent files. Chat history may include content from documents that were removed from a PDF Space.
Understand chat history storage
Chat history data is stored in the following locations:
- On your local device for desktop and mobile apps
- In Adobe cloud storage for Acrobat on the web
Review export and sharing limits
Exporting or sharing chat history isn’t supported. If needed, you can manually copy generated responses into a text editor.
Clear chat history
You can clear chat history using the Options , menu for an individual document or a PDF Space. Clearing chat history removes associated prompts, generated responses, and document overviews.
Review chat history controls
End users can't turn off chat history, but enterprise admins can do so via the Adobe Admin Console.
Disconnect third-party cloud storage
When a third-party storage service like Google Drive or OneDrive is disconnected, access to related files and their associated chat history in Acrobat is unavailable.
