View generation history

Learn how to navigate to the Generation history tab and access all your previous generations made in Firefly.

Firefly automatically saves all of your generated media—images, audio, and videos in the Generation history tab under Your stuff. This space allows you to access your previous generations, which consumes your allocated Adobe Cloud storage space.

Access your generation history

On the Firefly homepage, select Your Stuff from the left panel.

Select the Generation history tab.

Firefly's Generation history tab includes a dropdown menu to filter generation types by image, video, audio, or all.
The Generation history tab contains all of your previously generated content.

Use the dropdown menu to filter and view only images, videos, audio, or all generated content.

Hover your cursor over any image, audio, or video in your generation history.

Open the context menu by right-clicking or selecting the three dots .

Choose from the following options:

  • Open: Open the selected generation in the editor view for editing.
  • Favorite: Add the item to your Favorites tab for easy access.
  • Download: Save the selected generation output to your local device.
  • Add to: Organize generations by adding them to a specific project, or save it to a folder in Your files.
  • Open in boards: Open the selected generation in a new or existing Firefly board.
  • Share public link: Create a public link to share your generation with anyone.
  • Delete permanently: Remove the item from your generation history.
Generation history tab shows a file’s context menu with options to open, open in boards, download, share, or add to.
Video generations also display the option to Open in video editor (beta).

For images, you'll see additional options:

  • Open in Photoshop web: Open the selected image as a new file in Photoshop on the web.
  • Open in Adobe Express: Open the selected image as a new file in Adobe Express.
Note

Generation history is saved in your Adobe Cloud storage, and like any other file saved in the cloud, it will consume your allocated storage space.
