Custom Models to generate images

Last updated on Oct 27, 2025

Learn how to use Custom Models to generate images in Firefly Boards.

With Firefly Custom Models, you can train models with your own images, so that you can generate image variations that align with your brand. When generating images in Boards, you can use Custom Models alongside Adobe and partner models, if they are available in your account.

On the Firefly homepage, select Ideate from the left panel.

Select Create a board and on the Boards page, select New board

Select Generate image at the bottom of the page.

Add a text description in the prompt bar and use the Models option to launch a list of models. From the list, select Custom Models.

The Image Model dropdown menu is open, allowing selection between Firefly and Non-Firefly models, and setting the aspect ratio for generated images.
In addition to Firefly and partner models, select Custom Models to generate images using your own trained model.

Adjust the generation settings for the image, such as aspect ratio and content type, and select Generate.

Drag the generated image and drop it onto the canvas. To select and move multiple images, hold the Shift key while dragging and dropping them onto the canvas.

Once the image is added to the canvas, when you select it, you have the following editing and adjustment options:
