Pasting large amounts of text during copy text variant generation can cause Adobe Illustrator to become unresponsive.
Force-quit Illustrator using Command + Option + Esc, then relaunch the app. To prevent recurrence, paste text in smaller increments.
Some artboards remain ungenerated when layout variations are insufficient

Summary
When the number of selected layout variations is fewer than the number of target artboards with identical size and aspect ratio, some artboards are not generated.
Ensure that layout variations selected are equal to or greater than the number of target artboards before starting generation.
