Refresh the Firefly video editor page.
Try these solutions if you’re unable to generate videos in the Firefly video editor.
Video generation issues in the Firefly video editor typically stem from incomplete settings, account restrictions, insufficient credits, or temporary service disruptions.
You may experience one or more of the following:
- Generate button is disabled
- Selecting Generate does nothing
- Generated videos don’t appear
- Errors such as insufficient credits
- Reference files fail to upload
Required inputs are missing or your account does not have access to Firefly video features
If the Generate button appears as disabled:
- Enter a text prompt if required by the selected model.
- Go to the Firefly homepage and check for account-related errors.
- If you’re part of an organization, contact your admin to confirm Firefly access is enabled.
- Verify that third-party model access is not restricted for your account.
Temporary service disruption or page state issue prevents generation from starting
If selecting Generate does not do anything, i.e., it does not change to a progress indicator persisting on screen for a while. Follow these steps:
Try generating from the Generate video page.
Open the Generation history panel and refresh to check for completed outputs.
Check the Adobe Status page for Firefly service alerts.
Generated videos are hidden due to filters or delayed synchronization
If the expected generated media does not appear in the Generation history panel, try the following steps:
Open the Generation history panel.
Set the filter to All or Video.
Make sure Favorites is not selected.
Set sort to Newest first and scroll to the top.
If a placeholder thumbnails saying "Still working..." or "Generating..." still appears in the Generation history panel even after several seconds, refresh the page.
Check the Generation history page to confirm the video exists.
Return to the editor and refresh to sync results.
Your account does not have enough generative credits
If you see an error message on screen saying, "Insufficient credits...", follow these steps:
Select your profile avatar.
Open the Generative AI section to view available credits.
Review your current generation settings to understand credit usage.
Select Get Credits to purchase more or upgrade your plan.
Reference image or video does not meet supported requirements
Review the error message shown during upload, modify the file to meet requirements, and upload again.
- For images: Ensure supported file format and dimensions.
- For videos: Verify format, resolution, duration, and frame rate.
Partner model-specific or other uncertain issues
- Try generating using a different model.
- Check the Adobe Status page for service issues.
- If the issue persists, check other troubleshooting resources.
