Select the Remove Background option in the Firefly plugin panel.
Learn how to use the GenStudio plugin to remove image backgrounds directly in your Figma workspace.
You can remove unwanted backgrounds from images without leaving Figma to streamline your design workflow. The Remove Background feature in the Firefly plugin automatically detects and removes backgrounds from images in your Figma projects.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Figma desktop app or Figma in the browser
- Adobe GenStudio plugin installed in Figma
- Active Adobe account with Firefly access
Select an image by:
- Selecting an image on the Figma canvas
- Selecting Upload image to add from your device
- Selecting Browse AEM assets to access files from Adobe Experience Manager
Select Remove to process the image.
If you selected an image from the canvas, the processed image automatically replaces it. If you uploaded from your device or AEM, drag the generated image onto the canvas or select Insert Image to place it.
Images taken directly from the canvas maintain their original position and size, making it easy to update existing designs.
