On the Firefly homepage, select Generate from the left rail, then select Generate video.
Learn how to edit a frame from a generated or uploaded video in Adobe Firefly and use it to generate a new video.
With the Firefly Generate video module, you can pick any frame from a generated or uploaded video, edit it the way you want, and then use that edited frame to generate a brand new video that reflects your changes.
Add a video by:
- Selecting the Edit option at the top of the page and uploading a video from your local device or the Adobe cloud storage.
- Generating a new video in the Generate tab and then selecting the Edit option at the top of the page.
In the Edit tab, select the Edit frame from the left rail.
Select the model to use for generating the video from your edited frame. Currently, you can select from the following partner models:
- Runway Aleph 2
- Ray3.14 Modify
- Ray3 Modify
Depending on the model you select, you'll see the following options enabled below the video preview:
- Runway Aleph 2 model: Edit current frame
- Ray3 models: Edit first frame, Edit last frame
Scrub through the video to the frame you want to edit, then choose one of the Edit frame options. The selected frame opens in the Edit image page.
Use the image edit options such as Prompt, Markup, Remove, and more to edit the image.
When you are satisfied with your edits, select Save in the upper-right of the page. This saves your edits and returns you to the video edit page.
Add a prompt describing the video you want to generate, then select Generate to generate a new video using your edited frame.
When working with Runway, add directional guidance to your prompt. Describe how subjects should move, when actions should happen, and whether motion should follow realistic physics to achieve more predictable video results.
