Generate unique and original soundtracks in a few simple steps.

Generate music lets you generate music tracks by selecting key creative inputs such as vibe, style, purpose, energy, and tempo. Your selected inputs work as a guide in composing music tracks that match specific moods, genres, and use cases, whether it's background music, game music tracks, audio for podcasts, or soundscapes for meditation.

When generating music tracks, you can upload a video to receive a suggested prompt you can customize, or start from scratch by crafting a custom prompt without a video component.

On the Firefly homepage, hover over Audio in the left panel and then select Generate music.

On the Generate music page, the left panel contains a sample prompt with colored text representing different music track generation attributes.

Start composing the prompt by removing or adding the preloaded tags for each attribute. To remove all preloaded tags, select the Clear Prompt button.

Note

Currently, Generate music only supports English text prompts.

Select tags from the following available attributes to add to the prompt.

  • Vibe: Represented by purple text in the prompt. Use this to define the overall mood or emotional tone for music track generation.
  • Style: Represented by blue text in the prompt. Use this to define the genre or instrumentation for music track generation.
  • Purpose: Represented by green text in the prompt. Use this to define the intended use case or context for generating music tracks.

To add your own tags for any of the attributes, use descriptive adjectives.

Preview each music track and highlight the variation that you want to download, then select Download

The music track will be downloaded in WAV format.

Tip

If your music track isn’t matching your expectations, it may be due to conflicting input terms. For example, setting the Vibe to calm and the Style to heavy metal can lead to unpredictable results, often favoring one over the other.

You can adjust the Vibe to better align with your desired mood, then refine the Style to complement it, and avoid mixing terms that represent opposite emotional tones or musical genres.
