Add motion presets

Last updated on Jul 10, 2026

Apply entrance, looping, and exit animations to your clips without creating keyframes.

Motion presets help you quickly add professional-quality animations to your videos. Apply a preset to a selected video, image, graphic, or other visual element to control how it enters the frame, behaves while it remains visible, or exits the frame.

You can use motion presets to add polished animations with a single click, draw attention to important subjects, make static images feel more dynamic, create smoother transitions between scenes, or maintain a consistent animation style throughout your video.

Apply a motion preset to your asset

Select the image, video clip, or graphic that you want to animate in the timeline.

In the Properties panel, under Motion presets, select one of the following categories:

  • In to animate how the asset enters the frame.
  • Loop to add continuous motion while the asset remains visible.
  • Out to animate how the asset exits the frame.
The Properties panel shows Motion presets controls for adding an In, Loop, or Out preset.
Open Motion presets controls from the Properties panel.

Select a preferred category to expand it. Hover over presets to view their motions and then choose the preset you want to apply. The preset will immediately apply to the selected asset.

The Motion presets menu displays Out presets such as Bungee Out, Drop Out, and Slide Out.
The selected preset browser will open beside the Properties panel.

Tip

You can apply different preset types to the same asset—for example, combining an In preset with a Loop preset to create an entrance animation followed by continuous movement.

Once a Motion preset is applied to a clip, you can:

  • Edit the preset’s motion, speed, intensity, and other controls by selecting the properties icon.
  • Enable or disable it on the timeline by selecting the eye icon.
  • Remove the preset form the clip entirely by selecting the delete icon.
The Properties panel shows the Loop preset controls- speed and intensity, for the selected clip.
Adjust the speed, duration, intensity, and other relevant settings for each motion preset.

After applying a motion preset, preview your animation in the timeline.
