Generate a design on Illustrator.
Learn to modify designs to create layout variations, adapt dimensions, and duplicate them while maintaining brand standards.
Use Quick Actions to modify generated designs without recreating them from scratch. This feature preserves your Style ID structure and brand consistency while allowing you to explore variations, adjust sizing, and scale across formats.
- Refresh to create alternative compositions with new text based on the image.
- Resize to adapt designs to new artboard dimensions while preserving element relationships automatically.
- Clone to create layouts, duplicating design elements that are modified during last-mile edits.
Before you begin
To generate new designs, you need to have access to published Style IDs in your organization and make sure you have:
- Adobe Illustrator with Firefly Design Intelligence enabled
- Published Style IDs shared by your enterprise administrator
- One or more artboards on your canvas
Refresh generated layout variations
Refresh generates new layout variations for the selected design while preserving the Style ID structure and brand consistency. Refresh updates the text copy to create alternate compositions within the same aspect ratios.
Go to the Quick Actions section.
Select the artboard you want to modify, then select Refresh.
Review the generated layout or refresh the layout again to explore alternative text variations while keeping all other visual elements unchanged.
Resize generated designs
Use Resize to preserve element relationships, spacing logic, and brand standards while adjusting the layout to fit a different size or aspect ratio.
Select the artboard or generated design you want to resize.
Update the artboard dimensions in Illustrator.
Go to Quick Actions and select Resize.
Clone generated designs
Use Clone to duplicate a generated design across multiple artboards while preserving its visual elements. With the Clone feature uses the modified elements from the edited artboard, such as images, text, logos, and other visual elements—to create additional layouts.
Open the generated design in Illustrator.
Add or select multiple artboards on the canvas.
In the Modify tab, go to the Quick actions section.
Select Clone and wait a few moments to review the duplicated layouts generated across the selected artboards.
