How to access Adobe Express PDF design features in Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat Standard and Pro individual users can access Adobe Express tools directly from the Edit menu in Acrobat.
Adobe Express tools are not available in Acrobat for Enterprise plans. Acrobat for Enterprise users can access Adobe Express tools by logging into Adobe Express.

Under DESIGN WITH ADOBE EXPRESS, choose one of the Adobe Express tools. The Adobe Express tools listed are Stylize this PDF, Use design tools, and Design a new page.

The file opens in Adobe Express in a web browser. On the right, a floating menu with Stylize PDF shortcuts appears.

Select the Stylize PDF shortcut you need, and the left panel will display tools for the selected shortcut.

The document is automatically saved under Recent or Your stuff within Adobe Express.
Right-click the file and select Share or download to share or download a copy of the edited file.
NoteIf you have created an asset using premium content and now have an Adobe Express free plan, you must upgrade to the Adobe Express Premium plan to download or share your asset.

Select Search to search for the design assets you want to insert in your template.
Your Stuff
Select Your stuff to easily apply fonts, colors, and logos to any file from a brand you've created or shared.
Templates
Select Templates to create and personalize a presentation, invoice, flyer, report, proposal, or brochure.
Media
Select Media to add new photos, videos, or audio to the template. Choose from the photo library or select Upload from the device to add.
Text
Select Text to add text to the template. Type your text in the text box and format it using the available styling options from the left panel. You can also edit and style the existing text on the template.
Elements
Select Elements to add Design Assets, Backgrounds, Shapes, and Icons.
Add-ons
Select Add-ons to bring the third-party app designs into the template.

Download your file as a PDF once you are done.

What happens to the PDF I HAVE open in Acrobat?
When you select Stylize this PDF or choose to do further editing in Adobe Express, the open PDF will be copied and converted into a new Adobe Express file. The file will open in a new browser tab. You can then make changes to the new Adobe Express file. Your original PDF will still be open and accessible in Acrobat.
Will the changes that I made in ADOBE Express also BE reflectED in my PDF in Acrobat?
No, changes made to a PDF in Adobe Express will not automatically merge with Acrobat. To bring your updated PDF from Adobe Express to Acrobat, download the Adobe Express file and upload it to Acrobat. In Adobe Express, your new file will be saved to Your stuff (in Home or Editor) and Recent (in Home).
How can I access my PDF that I stylized in Adobe Express?
Within Adobe Express, the file will be saved in Your stuff (in Home or Editor) and Recent (in Home).
Within Acrobat, the file will be saved as an Adobe Express file in the Recent list. If you select this file to edit, you’ll be taken to Adobe Express.
How can I DOWNLOAD an ASSET AS A PDF in ADOBE Express?
Select the Download button, then select PDF (best for documents) as the file format. Your Adobe Express file will be converted to a PDF and downloaded to your desktop. You can then open the file in Acrobat.
How can I share my edited document with others?
Within Adobe Express, select the Share button, then add people or groups and invite them to edit or comment. You can also select other sharing options.
Which file types and sizes are supported?
Most PDFs can be converted to Adobe Express files. The following file types aren’t currently supported:
- Files larger than 99MB.
File with more than 99 pages.
Encrypted, password-protected, and restricted-access files.
XFA documents, that is, files with interactive and dynamic form fields.
Files with content in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or right-to-left languages.

Active Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro Individual subscribers can access Adobe Express integrations from within Acrobat. An Adobe Express Premium plan is required to access premium Adobe Express features like premium Adobe Stock content, brand kits, and obtain more generative AI credits. If you were previously on an Adobe Express Premium plan subscription and created an asset using premium content (e.g., premium images, premium templates), you will be able to see this content, but you will need to upgrade to the Adobe Express Premium plan to download, share, or export the content.
