Use text templates in videos

Learn how to add a pre-designed text template and customize it to suit your video needs.

Firefly video editor provides an easy way to add and use built-in editable text templates for a professional and polished look. These templates range from titles and name tags to signs, labels, and time stamps. With text editing tools, you can adjust fonts, colors, sizes, and other attributes to match your video needs.

Select the Text    icon from the left panel.

To add a text layer to the timeline, select the Add text button and start typing in the text box.

If you'd prefer to use a pre-designed text template, browse through the available categories, choose a template that fits your needs, and select it to apply.

The Text panel displays the text templates and one of them is added to the video.
Browse the text templates in the Text panel and simply drag your chosen one onto the video to add it.

A text layer is created in the timeline, and you can edit the template to customize it according to your video requirements.

The video displays the text templates added, and the customized text is highlighted.
Edit the text and shapes of the added template directly within the video editor panel.

Use the Properties panel to fine-tune text elements, and if any shapes are included in the template.
