Learn how to retrain your Adobe Firefly Custom Models to use newer versions.
Enterprise users can retrain an existing model using the latest version of Firefly Image Models. Adobe regularly releases new versions of Firefly Image Models to improve the quality and accuracy of generated images. Since Firefly Custom Models are built on these models, retraining helps you take advantage of the latest improvements.
Retraining a previously created custom model creates a new version of your existing model, helping you generate higher-quality variations while preserving the original aesthetic.

This feature is only available for enterprise customers. To avail the feature, contact Adobe sales.
Locate the custom model you want to retrain and select it to open. If the Model Type is set to Style, you’ll be prompted to choose a type before continuing:
- Iconography: Select this for icons or simple, symbolic graphics.
- Style: Select this for all other styles, such as illustrated or photographic styles.
Defining the model type helps improve the model for better output quality.
Select Duplicate.
Review your training data and settings to make edits as needed.
Select Train. A new version of your model will be created and added to your Inventory, while the original model will remain unchanged. Delete the older model if it’s no longer needed.
