Generative Media Tool (beta) overview

Last updated on Jul 9, 2026

Learn about the Generative Media Tool, how it helps you generate media directly in your Adobe Premiere (beta) timeline, and the AI-powered capabilities it offers.

The Generative Media Tool lets you generate video and sound effects directly within your Premiere (beta) timeline. Instead of switching between applications, you can create AI-generated media where you're already editing and immediately add the results to your sequence.

Use the Generative Media Tool to select a range in your timeline, describe the media you want to create, choose a supported AI model, and generate content that integrates smoothly into your edit. Generated results are added as editable clips, making it easy to review, refine, and continue editing.
