Learn to create custom audio effect layouts to apply specific effects to individual channels in Adobe Premiere and then save your layouts as reusable presets.

Effects channelization allows you to create custom layouts of your effects. Use this feature if you have multiple audio tracks and you want to apply effects only to a subset of channels. You can then choose to save your custom layout as a preset and reuse it.

Select Window > Effect Controls.

Select an effect and then select the Re-map button next to Channel Map.

Select Request Layout.

Select the input type in the Request Effect Layout dialog box.

Select Custom to assign or edit the Channel Label.

Use the plus (+) and minus (-) icons to add or remove channels as needed.

Assign or edit Channel Labels for your custom layout.

Select Save Preset after making your changes.

Enter a name for your preset and select OK.

You can modify the effect input and effect output for all individual channels. The output always follows the input and cannot be changed.
