Lumetri Scopes

Description

Vectorscope YUV

The Vectorscope YUV is a circular graph that displays the color information of an image. It measures saturation outward from the center and measures hue in a circular pattern. Use the color boxes to verify that the hue and saturation levels are accurate.

Histogram

The Histogram helps you evaluate shadows, midtones, and highlights, and adjust the overall tonal balance of your image. It shows the pixel distribution across color intensity levels using RGB values. Minimum Luma values per channel appear at the lower-right corner, and maximum values at the top-right corner. Two horizontal lines mark the output range, with the default set to CIN code values (95–685).

Parade (RGB)

The Parade (RGB) scope displays separate waveforms for the different components of an image. The waveforms appear side by side, making it easy to compare color levels and adjust them as needed. It also helps identify color casts in your footage. The Parade Type shows waveforms for luminance and color difference channels in the video signal and offers RGB, YUV, RGB-White, and YUV-White parade types.

Waveform (RGB)

The Waveform (RGB) scope offers different waveform types that help you analyze color and brightness information in your footage.

  • RGB: Displays the RGB signals overlaid to provide a snapshot of the signal levels across all color channels.
  • Luma: Displays IRE values from –20 to 120, helping you analyze shot brightness and measure contrast.
  • YC: Displays luminance (shown in green) and chrominance (shown in blue) values in your clip.
  • YC No Chroma: Displays only the luminance values in your clip.
