The Account Sharing feature is available to Team, Business and Enterprise levels of service.

Establish or disable account sharing between users

Account shares are the way to view the agreements of another user that uses Adobe Sign in the Document Cloud. All agreements the sharer has sent and signed are visible to the sharee, via the Manage tab in their account.

This relationship is one-way, and provides read-only access to those agreements. Account sharing is ideal for managers or admins who like to track the progress individual users are making.

Note:

Because a share provides read-only access, the sharee can't edit the transaction in any way. Only the sender of an agreement can change it (including signing, approving, delegating, or canceling).

Quick steps

  1. Go to the Account page or hover over name in upper-right corner and click My Profile.
  2. Do one of the following:
    1. Share your account: Click Share My Account to share your account with another user. Click the plus sign in the upper-right corner, and then enter the email address of the user you want to share with. Click Save.
    2. View another account: Click View Other Accounts to request that somebody share their account with you. Click the plus sign in the upper-right corner, and then enter the email address of the user who you would like to share with you. Click Save.
    3. Accept a share request: Click the accept link for the request under Share My Account.
    4. Resend a share request: Click the resend link for the request under View Other Accounts.
    5. Cancel a share: Click the cancel link for the share under View Other Accounts or Share My Account.

Step-by-step

To get to the share options, hover over your name in the upper-right corner and click My Profile.

View other accounts: Request a share

Click the plus sign in the upper-right corner. Enter the email address of user you want to view the account of and click Save. They receive an email and the request shows up under their Share My Account section.

A pop-up window prompts you to enter the email address of the user that you want to view.

  • Enter the email address
  • Click Save

An email is delivered to the address to which you have requested the view.

Until the requestee accepts the invitation to share their account, the request shows as PENDING

Once the request is accepted, the PENDING flag is removed

Shared content is visible on the Manage page.

All shared content has a light gray description, identifying who has shared the content, under the agreement name.

Share My Account: Share your account with another user

Click the plus sign in the upper-right corner. Enter the email address of the user you want to share your account with and click Save. They receive an email and the request shows up under their View Other Accounts section.

A pop-up window prompts you to enter the email address of the user to which you want to share your account content.

  • Enter the email address
  • Click Save

Accept a share request

To accept a share request:

  • Navigate to My Profile > Personal Preferences > View Other Account || Share My Account
  • Single click the share you want to accept to select it
    • This exposes the Accept link
  • Click the Accept link

A success message appears at the top of the window.

The Pending flag is removed, and the share is in effect.

Decline a share request

All pending shares show up under the View Other Accounts and the Share My Account sections.

To decline a request to view or share:

  • Navigate to My Profile > Personal Preferences > View Other Account || Share My Account
  • Single click the share you want to decline to select it
    • This exposes the Decline link
  • Click the Decline link

The Pending request is removed from the list of shares.

Resend a share request

All pending shares show up under the View Other Accounts and the Share My Account sections.

To resend the email request to view or share:

  • Navigate to My Profile > Personal Preferences > View Other Account || Share My Account
  • Single click the share for which you want to resend the email
    • This exposes the Resend Share Request link
  • Click the Resend Share Request link

Cancel a share

All active shares show up under the View Other Accounts and the Share My Account sections. Any of these shares can be canceled by either party.

To cancel a Shared account:

  • Navigate to My Profile > Personal Preferences > View Other Account || Share My Account
  • Single click the share you want to cancel to select it
    • This exposes the Cancel Share link
  • Click the Cancel Share link
