Firefly workspace overview

The Firefly workspace brings together generative AI creation tools, collaborative workflows, and asset management into a unified environment designed for speed and creative flexibility. Use the workspace to move between ideation, editing, organization, and production workflows.

The left rail serves as the primary navigation area for the Firefly workspace and includes access to generation tools, creative surfaces, and organizational features.

The Firefly workspace includes sections for generating content, organizing creative work, building workflows, and managing your assets.

Home

The Home page provides a centralized starting point for Firefly workflows. It includes featured creative actions and workflows, while allowing quick access to image, video, and audio generation tools.

From Home, you can:

• Discover featured tools and workflows
• Use the prompt bar to begin creating content right away
• Explore featured projects and create your own

New

The New menu provides quick access to Firefly creation and generation tools. It groups actions into two categories — Generate and Create, helping you start different creative workflows from anywhere in the app.

From New, you can:

• Start generating images, videos, or audio
• Access creative workflows such as Boards and Timeline
• Start Bulk workflows for high-volume creative tasks

Image

Use the Image section to generate and edit images using Firefly generative AI tools. The available image tools help you generate original content, refine existing assets, and prepare images for design workflows.

Available image workflows include:

• Generate image
• Edit image
• Remove background
• Upscale image
• Remove object
• Expand background

Video

The Video section provides access to AI-powered video generation and editing workflows. Use video workflows to create clips from prompts, modify existing videos, or localize content for different audiences.

Available video workflows include:

• Translate video
• Generate effects

Audio

Use the Audio section to create and refine speech, sound effects, and music-based content. Available audio tools help streamline audio production workflows directly within Firefly.

Discover

The Discover section helps you explore featured workflows, community inspiration, tutorials, and creative examples.

With Discover, you can:

• Explore featured Firefly creations.

• Find inspiration for image, video, and audio projects.

Boards

Boards provides an infinite canvas workspace for organizing ideas, references, generated assets, and collaborative creative exploration. Use Boards to visualize ideas and develop concepts before production.

With Boards, you can:

• Create visual mood boards

• Collaborate on creative concepts
• Use starter workflows and templates

Timeline

Use Timeline to access the Firefly video editor (beta), organize clips, and turn generated content into structured video stories. Timeline is designed to support video ideation and lightweight editing workflows.

With Timeline, you can:

• Generate videos directly within projects

Graph

Firefly Graph lets you build node-based creative workflows for advanced content generation and automation. Use Graph to streamline repetitive creative tasks and support more advanced production workflows.

• Start from predefined workflow templates

AI Assistant

The AI Assistant workspace provides a conversational interface for generating and editing creative content using Firefly and Creative Cloud tools. Use the assistant to simplify complex workflows by guiding content creation through natural language prompts.

With AI Assistant, you can:

• Enter prompts conversationally
• Generate creative outputs across workflows
• Access supported Adobe and partner models
• Accelerate ideation and editing tasks

Custom models

Use Custom models to train Firefly models using your own reference assets and brand-specific content. Use Custom models to scale branded content creation while maintaining visual consistency.

With Custom models, you can:

Files

The Files section helps you organize and manage generated assets, uploaded files, projects, and shared content. Use the Files section as a centralized content management workspace for Firefly assets and projects.
