Firefly workspace overview

The Adobe Firefly workspace brings together AI-powered creation tools, creative workflows, and asset management in one place. Use the left navigation panel to move between workspace areas and access your projects and generated content.

To access the Firefly workspace, visit Adobe Firefly and sign in with your Adobe account. The home page opens with the navigation panel on the left-hand side and workspace controls in the header.

Explore the Firefly workspace

The left navigation panel includes Home, AI Assistant (beta), Generations, and Files, as well as additional features organized under Make & edit and More tools.

Home

Home is the starting point for creating content and returning to recent work. In the prompt bar under Create anything, you can enter a prompt, upload a reference image, choose a generation type, select a model, and adjust available settings. Suggested creative themes provide additional starting points.

• Your recent stuff: Switch between Generation history and Recent files or select View all to see more content.
• Quick actions: Open commonly used generation and editing tools.

AI Assistant (beta)

AI Assistant provides a conversational workspace for creating and editing content with natural-language prompts. It can automatically select from available Adobe and partner models for content generation.

• New chat: Start a conversation.
• Chats: Access chat history and return to previous conversations.
• Skills: Explore multi-step workflows that run with slash commands, including workflows for social media, commerce, branding, and filmmaking.
• Settings: Access AI Assistant settings.

Generations

Generations provides a unified generation and editing experience, allowing you to generate and edit images and videos simultaneously. This space lets you create content from scratch, review generated images and videos, and continue working with your previous creations. Select a result from the generation history to preview it and review available details, such as its prompt, reference assets, model, aspect ratio, and resolution.

• Generate or edit images and videos in the same environment.
• Preview or download generated content.
• Favorite, reuse, or refine results using the available controls.
• Enter a new prompt and switch between image and video generation.

Files

Files provides a central location for browsing and organizing creative content. Use search, filters, and sorting options to find assets in your workspace.

• Projects: Access creative projects.
• Generation history: Browse generated content and filter by media type.
• Elements: Access previously created elements.
• Capsules: Access your saved Graph capsules in this collection.
• Your files: Browse your personal files.
• Shared with you: Find shared content.
• Deleted: Access deleted items.

Make & Edit

Image

Image brings together tools for creating and editing images. Select Generate image to create visuals from prompts or Edit image to modify existing images. 

Video

Video provides tools for generating and editing video content. The landing page also displays Recent videos and curated workflows under the Quick actions section.

• Generate video: Create professional video content with text prompts.
• Edit multi-track video (beta): Edit videos across multiple tracks using Timeline (beta).

Audio

Audio provides tools for creating and enhancing sound. Access earlier content in Recent audio and browse curated examples under Quick actions.

• Enhance audio: Clean up recorded audio and improve its clarity.
• Generate speech: Turn text into natural-sounding spoken audio.
• Generate music: Create a custom music track from a text description.
• Generate sound effects: Create custom sound effects from a text description.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions provide direct access to commonly used creative tools, including Upscale image, Extend image, Edit image, Remove object from image, Generate video, Generative fill, and Cartoonize. Select an action to open its workflow.

More tools

Boards

Boards provide a visual space to collect inspiration, explore ideas, and develop creative concepts. Select Create new board to begin or Starter workflows to explore guided starting points. Recent boards option provides access to existing boards, and Get inspired displays curated examples. With Boards, you can:

• Create mood boards to develop visual concepts, storyboards, and creative presentations.
• Organize creative assets by adding and arranging images, videos, and references on a canvas.
• Generate and remix content using Adobe and partner AI models to explore creative variations.
• Collaborate on ideas by sharing boards and collecting feedback from others.
• Explore starter workflows to create and customize content using guided creative processes.

Graph (beta)

Graph provides you a visual canvas to build and manage AI-powered creative workflows by adding and connecting nodes. Graph helps streamline repetitive creative tasks and maintain consistency across projects. With Graph, you can:

• Build node-based workflows by connecting generation, editing, and compositing actions.
• Access AI models and tools from Adobe and partners to create customized workflows.
• Preview and refine outputs by adjusting individual nodes and workflow settings.

Stock

Stock provides access to Adobe Stock imagery and curated collections. Search for images or explore collections such as Textures, Light, 3D shapes, Patterns, Graphics, and References to find a visual starting point.

Custom models

Custom models provide access to Firefly models trained on reference assets for specific styles or subjects. Use Custom models to train and manage Firefly models with your own images, generating content with consistent styles and subjects. With Custom models, you can:

• Train custom models using your own images to capture specific styles or subjects.
• Generate consistent content featuring recognizable characters, products, or visual styles.
• Manage and refine models to improve generation results.
• Share trained models with others to maintain visual consistency across projects.

Production

Production provides enterprise users with access to production-oriented tools and workflows for processing creative content. Use this area to automate and scale creative workflows and produce content at large volumes while maintaining brand consistency. With Production, you can:

• Build reusable workflows using a visual canvas or predefined templates.
• Automate bulk tasks such as background removal, cropping, color grading, and resizing.
• Integrate workflows with Adobe and third-party tools, APIs, and custom actions.
• Publish and share workflows for reuse across teams.
• Run and monitor workflows to process multiple assets, track progress, and review results.

Explore the workspace header

The workspace header provides shortcuts to generative credits, product resources, Adobe applications, and account settings.

Get Credits

Select Get Credits to explore options for obtaining additional generative credits for supported Firefly features.

Explore what's new

Select the light bulb icon to open a menu with Explore what’s new, Submit an idea, Report a bug, Join the Firefly community, Join the Discord server, Get help, and Legal notices.

Notifications

Select the bell icon to view notifications, alerts, and important updates related to your Firefly activities.

Account menu

Select your profile icon to view account details, member benefits, and Firefly generative AI access. The menu displays standard and premium feature information, available generative credits, Preferences, and Sign out. Available options vary by plan.
