Open your video project in the Timeline.
Learn how to transfer your timeline from Adobe Firefly to Premiere desktop for advanced editing.
Timeline is a beta feature in Adobe Firefly, now available for testing and feedback.
Timeline helps you quickly create and edit video projects with generative AI. When you need more control over timing, effects, or color, send your timeline to Adobe Premiere on desktop and continue editing with Premiere’s advanced tools—without rebuilding your project from scratch.
Before you begin:
Make sure you’re signed in to the same Adobe account in Adobe Firefly and Premiere desktop.
Send your video to Premiere desktop
In the upper-right corner, select the Send to apps icon.
Select Adobe Premiere Desktop and wait while Firefly prepares the timeline.
When the confirmation message appears, access your project in one of these ways:
- If Premiere was already open when you sent the timeline, select Open Project in the notification that appears in Premiere.
- To access the timeline later, select File > Import Web and Mobile Projects, and then select your project.
You can then continue editing the imported sequence in Premiere.
What gets transferred to Premiere
When you import a Timeline into Premiere desktop, supported media and clip attributes are reflected in the new Premiere sequence.
Some elements may appear differently or may not be supported after import. Keep the following in mind:
- Text positioning and scaling are approximate, and some text properties aren't supported.
- Fonts used in the Timeline must also be available in Premiere desktop to appear as expected.
- Some effects, captions, audio enhancements, and transitions aren't supported or may not transfer as they appear in the Timeline.
- If you've separated audio from a video, the video is imported as muted, and the separated audio may appear as a missing audio file.
Support for elements may change as the Timeline and Premiere desktop are updated.
