Adobe Premiere Pro 13.1.5 provides important fixes and is recommended for all users. 

Fixed issues in Premiere Pro version 13.1.4

Premiere Pro 13.1.4 includes all of the improvements from 13.1.3 with an additional bug fix that addresses a launch issue for some Windows systems with outdated drivers.

Premiere Pro 13.1.3 fixes a critical issue with AAF exports from Premiere Pro where some source media associated with XMP may be deleted after rendering. This issue only occurs in versions 13.1, 13.1.1 and 13.1.2 of Premiere Pro.

Effects and Editing

  • If a speed change is applied in the project panel, it changes time remapping values
  • Force Touch and drag on transitions will cause mouse cursor to disappear until restart
  • Multi-cams do not contain description or comment metadata tags in xml
  • Cannot drag keyframes in color wheels section and HLS Secondaries
  • Morph Cut Analysis Banner does not disappear
  • Scrubbing past end of clip will flash an upside-down frame on Metal
  • Direct manipulation of video effects fails on Mac if you Control click on a control point
  • Dip to Black and Dip to White transitions do not allow Copy/Paste
  • Flattening a multicam with Time Remapping results in wrong keyframes when speed is applied
  • Find dialog doesn't find any results while in Freeform view
  • Can't apply effects to a group selection in Freeform view
  • Transmit output to 2nd (primary) monitor doesn't work if Premiere is running on secondary monitor. Preference cannot be set.

Render and Export

  • Color shift when exporting to YUV formats
  • Program monitor can go black when applying Lumetri to nested Sequence
  • Reduced instances where macro-blocking can occur when exporting
  • Black spots appearing for high luminosity areas such as sun, with Software renderer
  • Render and replace drop frame clips results in non-drop rendered files

Fixed issues in Premiere Pro version 13.1.2

The 13.1.2 update for Premiere Pro includes two audio effects (DeNoise and DeReverb) that were missing in the Premiere Pro version 13.1.1 installer.

This release of Premiere Pro fixes a number of issues that caused Premiere Pro to crash.

  • Changing from Speakers to Headphones on Macbook Pro 2018 will hang the application.
  • Crash on launch or when opening project on Windows related to the essentialsound.dll
  • Crash can occur when applying a marker to a 48 FPS sequence
  • Application can hang when importing some FCP XML files
  • Hang can occur if user uses match frame repeatedly in a project
  • Hang when applying morph cut to some clips
  • Autosave is delayed after autosave interval expires.
  • Using the Eyedropper tool in Preview Monitor can result in a crash when transmit is enabled
  • If "Default Media Scaling" is set to "Set To Frame Size", Premiere will erase all keyframes when copying and pasting a clip
  • Screen is dark when Safe Margins is on. Metal GPU issue with Overlays functionality
  • Effects can be lost when duplicating Sequences or Clips
  • Trim mode redraw errors can occur on Windows


  • Improved reverse playback of HEVC file
  • QuickTime ProRes/Dnx playback performance drop when played from external drive formatted as ExFAT
  • Transmit of UHD video fails when AJA Control Panel is set to HDR
  • Playback of 240 fps H.264 with hardware decode on Windows can show red frames

File support

  • MP4 with HE-AAC audio generates different audio shifts on each encode
  • Large frame size clips can turn to red frame when paused/stopped with Metal
  • [HEVC] PR imports limited range 10-bit MP4 H.265 2020 and HDR as full range
  • Some ProRes files are importing as audio only


  • Audio stops playing for one clip after importing a second clip on Windows
  • Audio distortion scrubbing offline nested clip
  • Ducking "Reduce By" amount has a Minus sign that should not be there
  • Essential Sound Panel UI control for Target Duration is broken
  • Reduce Reverb has Auto Gain applied, but not functioning
  • Synchronizing using Audio Mixdown doesn't work correctly with subclips.  

Captions and subtitles

  • Video and style options are ignored when importing STL files
  • Japanese text is garbled when importing SRT file
  • Sequence created directly from a caption (708) file will result in misalignment

General editing and workflow

  • Feather and Expansion parameters have max limit of 1000 pixels. It should be 5000 pixels
  • Effect latency is wrong when using Speed change with "Maintain Audio Pitch" turned on.
  • Hue vs Sat curve Tangent control surface creates unintended adjustments
  • Timeline Panel resizes after closing all sequences
  • Split view selection is lost when switching layouts
  • Consolidate and Transcode of single rendered clip for multiple clips, then Restore Unrendered, results in shifted audio and video
  • Provide warning when exporting Warp Stabilizer analysis in progress so banner is not exported
  • Clear Selected Marker menu item is unexpectedly grayed out.
  • 10bit HLG: R and B channels are swapped
