Generate videos using partner models

Last updated on 25 September 2025

Learn how to use partner models when generating videos using the Text to video or Image to video features.

When you use the Text to video and Image to video features, you have the option to choose from a variety of video models. These models include both Adobe models as well as partner models. Based on the model you selected while generating a video, you'll be presented with its specific settings and controls.

Both the Text to video and Image to video features include the following partner models for video generation:

Generate videos using Veo 2 and Veo 3

On the Adobe Firefly homepage, go to the Video module and select Text to video or Image to video.

In the General settings section, select the Model dropdown menu.

Under the Non-Adobe models section, select Add next to Veo 2 or Veo 3.

In the General settings section, the Model dropdown menu is open and under Non-Adobe video models, Veo 2 is selected.
Both the Text to video and Image to video features allow you to choose between Adobe and partner models for generating videos.

If you want to use a specific image as the starting frame of your video, select the upload icon under Frame next to the prompt bar and add a start image. Optionally, upload an image for the end frame to conclude the video.

The Frame section has an image uploaded and the prompt bar has a prompt added to it.
Upload an image and crop it to set it as a starting frame for the generated video.

If a keyframe image doesn’t match the aspect ratio, a cropper appears for adjustment. After uploading the image under Frame, hover over the thumbnail to preview it. Move your cursor over the preview to activate the crop tool and adjust the crop as needed.

In the Prompt field, enter a text prompt.

Tip
  • To include text in the generated video, place it within double quotes. For example, if you want the video to display the word CAT, include "CAT" in the prompt.

The resolution for the generation would be 720p by default.

If you have selected Veo 2 as the video model, you can select the Aspect ratio from Widescreen (16:9) or Vertical (9:16)

For Veo 3Widescreen (16:9) will be the default and the only option.

In the Aspect ratio section, the dropdown menu is open and among the options listed, Widescreen (16:9) is selected.
Specify the aspect ratio for the generated video to match the desired output format, such as standard widescreen or specific social media platforms.

Note

The Frames per second is set to a default 24 FPS.

Enable the Audio option to generate synchronized sounds or music for the generated video.

Note

Veo 3 is the only model that offers the ability to generate audio along with your video.

In the Advanced section, you can use the Seed option to add a seed number that helps start the process and controls the randomness of what the AI creates. If you use the same seed, prompt, and control settings, you can generate similar video clips.

Select Generate .

Once the video is generated, you have the option to preview and download it.

If you haven't enabled the Audio option to generate sound for the video, hover over the generated video and select Generate sound effects to add sound effects using text prompts or use your own voice recording.

Generate videos using Ray3 and Ray3 HDR

Note

There are a few differences when generating videos with the Ray3 models—Ray3 and Ray3 HDR, such as video duration, output quality, and the amount of generative credits used.

On the Generate video page, under the General settings section, use the Model dropdown menu, select from Ray3 or Ray3 HDR.

In the General settings section, the Model dropdown menu is open and under Non-Adobe video models, Veo 2 is selected.
Choose between Adobe's models and those from partners for video generation.

To set an image as the starting point of your video, upload it as the first frame in the Frame section. To end your video with a specific image, upload it as the end frame.

The Frame section has an image uploaded and the prompt bar has a prompt added to it.
Upload an image and crop it to set it as a starting frame for the generated video.

Use the prompt bar to add a text description of the video you want to generate.

Use the Resolution dropdown menu to select from the following available options:

  • 180p
  • 360p
  • 540p
  • 720p
  • 1080p (available only for Ray3)

Use the Aspect ratio dropdown menu to select the desired frame size for the generated video from the following options:

  • Ultra Wide (21:9)
  • Widescreen (16:9)
  • Landscape (4:3)
  • Square (1:1)
  • Portrait (3:4)
  • Vertical (9:16)
  • Ultra Tall (9:21)

The Frames per second is set to 24 FPS by default for the generated video.

For both Ray3 and Ray3HDR, the generated video duration is fixed at 5 seconds.

Select Generate .

Once the video is generated, you can download it or hover over it to access edit options such as adding sound effects using text prompts or your own voice recording.

The video is generated and upon the hovering of cursor on it, there is an option to generate sound effects for it.
Use the Generate sound effects option to add audio to your generated video using a text description or your own voice recording.
