Create product profiles

Last updated on Aug 3, 2026

Set up product profiles to manage which apps, services, and permissions users can access.

Product profiles count toward your license quota. Users assigned to a profile get its apps, services, and permissions. Profiles apply only to Enterprise and Education organizations.

Before you begin

  • Verify you have a Product admin or System admin role
  • Confirm your organization has purchased the relevant products
  • Verify your organization has active product licenses
  • Identify which apps and services users need

Create a new product profile

For Adobe products that support roles, you can assign roles to users, granting them role-based access to the product. For details, see Manage product permissions.

Sign in to the Adobe Admin Console and select Products.

Select the product for which you want to create a profile.

On the Product profiles tab, select New Profile.

Enter a profile name, display name, and description that clearly identify the profile's purpose.

Choose whether to notify users by email when added to or removed from this profile.

Select Next and enter the number of licenses to allocate to this profile.

Select Next to enable or disable individual services for the profile if the product includes configurable services.

For all your Adobe apps and services to function correctly, you must allow a set of URLs/domains.

Select Save to create the profile.

After creating a profile, you can assign users and user groups to it from the Users tab.

Adjust product profile quotas

Go to Products and select the product containing the profile.

Open the product profile to display its details.

Select Details and navigate to the Set license quota section.

Enter the new license quota for the profile.

Select Save to apply the changes.

Note

For VIP Enterprise, a profile quota cannot exceed the product quota. You also cannot set a profile below the number of licenses already assigned.

Delete a product profile

Go to Products and select the relevant product.

Select the checkbox next to the profile name.

Select Delete Profiles.

In the confirmation dialog, select Delete Profiles again to confirm.

Caution

Deleting a product profile immediately removes user access to the associated apps and services.

You can export a list of users from a profile before deleting it by selecting the ellipsis icon on the Users tab and choosing Export users list to CSV. This allows you to reassign those users to other profiles as needed.
