Manage access requests

Last updated on Aug 3, 2026

Review and respond to user access requests via email or the Admin Console, and configure notification settings.

Product requests let users seek access to Adobe products directly from applications or web surfaces. System Administrators can approve or deny these requests to efficiently grant access. Requests remain in the queue for 60 days before automatically expiring. This procedure applies to organizations that use Adobe storage for business with product requests enabled.

Before you begin

You’ll need:

  • System Administrator role
  • Product requests feature (enabled by default)

When users request product access, you receive notifications and can respond via email or the Admin Console. You can also configure how frequently you receive notifications and turn the feature on or off entirely.

Respond through email

Locate the email notification containing the requester's name, requested application, available licenses, and default product profile.

Select Approve to grant access immediately with the default settings.

Select Buy More if no licenses are available to purchase additional licenses.

Select Review if the product has multiple profiles and you need to modify the product profile assignment.

Respond through the Admin Console

Sign in to the Admin Console and go to Products > Product access automation > Product requests.

Locate the relevant request in the list displaying requests from the last 60 days. To view product requests that were responded to or have expired in the last 90 days, see the Audit Log.

Select Review for the request you want to respond to.

Review the business reason entered by the user and use the dropdown under Product assigned to select an available product that fulfills the request.

For enterprise products, select a product profile from the available options.

Select Approve to grant access, Deny to reject the request with a reason, or close the window to respond later.

Note

When denying a request, you must select a reason. The user receives an email notification with your selected reason and can resubmit with additional justification.

For requests that bundle multiple products, select the checkboxes for the individual requests you want to approve. Unselected requests remain in the queue. If a user requests a product your organization hasn't purchased, contact your Adobe Account Manager for enterprise plans or select Buy More for Teams or VIP memberships.

Set notification frequency

Sign in to the Admin Console and go to Products > Product access automation > Product requests.

Select Edit settings.

Choose how frequently all System Administrators should receive product request email notifications from the dropdown menu.

Set frequency for new product request notifications.
Set frequency for new product request notifications.

Select Save to apply your changes.

Tip

All System Administrators receive notifications about requests expiring within 30 days, regardless of the frequency setting. Changes to notification settings appear in the Audit Log.

Turn product requests on or off

Sign in to the Admin Console and navigate to Products > Product access automation > Product requests.

Select Edit settings.

Use the Request access toggle to turn on or off product requests for your organization.

Use the toggle to enable or disable product requests.
Use the toggle to turn product requests on or off.

Select Save to apply your changes.

When product requests are disabled, users cannot request Adobe products, and you won't receive new requests. However, you can still review and respond to previously received requests. Turning off the feature also prevents users from requesting to join organizations through domain matching.

To automate access for specific products and avoid manual review of requests, create automatic assignment rules that grant immediate access to eligible users.
