Admin Console overview

Understand how the Admin Console centralizes license, user, and deployment management across your Adobe organization.

The Adobe Admin Console is your organization's centralized hub for managing Adobe entitlements, from licenses and user accounts to deployment packages and security settings. Whether you oversee a small team or a complex enterprise environment, the Admin Console provides the tools you need to configure Adobe products across your entire organization.

Organization selection

If you administer multiple organizations, the organization selector lets you switch between them. The currently selected organization displays a checkmark next to its name. All actions you perform apply only to the selected organization, so verify you've selected the correct one before making changes.

Select your organization.

Organizations that belong to a Global Admin Console hierarchy display a hierarchy icon next to the organization name, along with the full organizational path showing where that organization sits within the structure.

For example, a path like ACME HQ > Athletic Shoe Division indicates Athletic Shoe Division is a child organization under ACME HQ.

If you have a complex organizational structure with many Admin Consoles, or if you want to split your main Admin Console into multiple consoles, you can use the Global Admin Console. For example, multinational corporations, education institutions, large school districts, and large government agencies. The Global Admin Console nests existing Admin Consoles into a hierarchical structure, like an organization chart, to provide transparency across a distributed enterprise.

Administrative areas

The Admin Console organizes its functions into distinct tabs, each focused on a specific aspect of administration. Features differ across tabs based on offering type. Enterprise, Teams, and Education each have unique options. Your role further shapes what is available.

Overview

The Overview tab provides a dashboard view of your organization's Adobe licenses and setup status. It shows how many licenses you've assigned from your total available entitlements for each product, giving you an instant snapshot of license utilization. For newly created organizations, the Overview includes quick-start actions that guide you through initial setup tasks, such as claiming domains, configuring identity, and adding your first users.

Products

System administrators, Product administrators, and Product Profile administrators use this tab to assign Adobe apps and services to users and groups. Enterprise customers can access product profiles that control which features and services users can access within a product.

Product administrators can be assigned at the product or product profile level, allowing you to delegate management of specific products or profiles to other administrators without granting full system access.

Users

The Users tab provides options for creating and managing user accounts. You can add individual users one at a time or upload CSV files to perform bulk operations. User groups let you organize users by department, role, or project, making it easier to assign products and manage permissions at scale.

You can also assign administrative roles that determine what each administrator can do in the Admin Console. System administrators have full access, while specialized roles such as Product Admin, Deployment Admin, or Storage Admin have permissions limited to their respective areas.

Account

System administrators and Contract administrators use the Account tab to manage contracts, payment methods, and billing details. You can view contract status and anniversary dates, add or remove contract administrators, update payment information, and access invoices. Available options depend on your purchase program, including VIP, VIP Marketplace, and Enterprise agreements, each with its own workflow.

Insights

System administrators use the Insights tab to find the organization's reports and logs. License assignment reports show how many licenses are assigned to your purchased quantities, helping you plan deployments and improve license usage. Audit logs record the changes made in the Admin Console, capturing who made each change, what changed, and when, to support compliance and security investigations.

Storage

The Storage tab gives administrators visibility into and control over your organization's storage under the Enterprise Storage Model. You can see how much storage your organization and individual users have consumed, manage individual and shared user folders, and reclaim content from users who have been removed. Storage administrators can manage these settings without full system administrator access.

Packages

The Packages tab is where deployment administrators create and download software packages for desktop applications. You can build customized packages with the specific applications and configuration settings your organization needs or download pre-configured packages for standard deployments. The tab also provides access to deployment tools, including the Remote Update Manager and the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool. System administrators and deployment administrators can view the Packages tab.

Settings

The Settings tab is where system administrators configure organization-wide policies for identity, security, and content. Here you manage identity types and domains, set authentication and encryption policies, and control how assets are shared outside the organization. You can also assign privacy and security contacts, download content logs, set project permissions, and add custom notes or a default notification language through Console settings. Storage administrators can access only the asset settings and content logs.

Note

Adobe does not provide a native capability for top‑level administrators to compare current Admin Console settings against Adobe’s recommended secure defaults. Administrators may refer to Adobe’s recommended configuration guidance and validate compliance using their organization’s identity provider, endpoint management tools, and internal audit processes.

Support

The Support tab connects you to Adobe Customer Care. Enterprise customers can create and manage support cases directly in the Admin Console and schedule Expert Sessions with Adobe specialists. The tab also provides links to documentation, forums, and other help resources regardless of offering type.
