Resolve Adobe account sign-in issues with organization restrictions

Last updated on Aug 3, 2026

Resolve organization-enforced sign-in issues caused by domain restrictions and IP-based access controls.

Your organization's security policies in Adobe Admin Console may cause sign-in issues or account creation restrictions. These issues may occur when your admin enables domain enforcement or IP-based access controls.

Sign-in blocked by domain enforcement

You see an Update Your Email screen when you attempt to sign in, or you receive a message stating that you can’t create a new account using your company or school email address. The Update Your Email prompt appears on every sign-in attempt until you change your email address or your administrator removes the domain enforcement policy. If you skip the update, you can continue using your current email for the 30-day grace period.

  1. Enter a different personal email address on any unclaimed domain (such as gmail.com or yahoo.com) in the update screen
  2. Select Continue to migrate your personal apps and data to the new email address
  3. Check your new email inbox for a verification message
  4. Complete the email verification process to maintain access to your personal account

Account creation blocked by domain restrictions

If you try to create a new account using your company email address, the domain enforcement blocks it. Your organization’s claimed domains can’t be used for new personal Adobe accounts. For access to organization-managed products, contact your IT administrator.

  1. Navigate to the Adobe account creation page
  2. Enter a personal email address on an unclaimed domain (gmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com, or similar)
  3. Complete the account creation process with your personal email
  4. Verify your email address when prompted

Profile restricted by IP-based access control

Your user profile appears turned off, or you see a Profile is restricted by IP message when signing in from a public network. It means your organization uses IP‑based access control. Only approved IP addresses can access Adobe apps. Public networks are usually blocked. Ask your administrator to add any external locations you regularly use.

  1. Connect to your organization's internal network (office network or VPN)
  2. Verify your network connection is established
  3. Attempt to sign in again from the trusted network
  4. Contact your IT administrator if you need access from additional locations

For issues not resolved by these solutions or questions about your organization's access policies, contact your IT administrator.
