Automated Asset Migration

Last updated on Jun 17, 2025

Use Automated Asset Migration to transfer supported content from your Adobe ID account to your Enterprise ID or Federated ID account so you can continue working without interruption.

Use Automated Asset Migration when:

  • You're switching from an Adobe ID account to an Enterprise ID or Federated ID account.
  • Your organization is moving from a Teams plan to an enterprise plan, and your apps are associated with your new enterprise account.
Note

Automated Asset Migration isn't available if:

  • You have a single-app plan, such as Acrobat Single App.
  • Your Creative Cloud plan includes only Adobe Stock, because individual and enterprise Adobe Stock licenses differ.

Pre-migration tasks

Before you start asset migration, sign in to your Adobe ID account and complete these tasks.

Manage unsaved content

Save your work and sync your content to the cloud before starting migration. Then, sign out of your Adobe ID account on the device you'll use to start the migration. During migration, you're automatically signed out of any other devices you're signed in on.

Manage personal content

The migration transfers all supported content from your Adobe ID account. If your account contains personal content that you don't want to move, remove it before starting the migration.

See the Frequently Asked Questions for the list of supported content.

Migrate content

After your IT administrator creates your Enterprise ID or Federated ID account, you'll receive an email inviting you to migrate your content. Before you begin, update to the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app and complete the pre-migration tasks. pre-migration tasks.

If you skip migration, you won't be prompted to migrate this content again.

What happens next

After you consent to the migration:

  • The migration usually completes in less than five minutes.
  • Content such as links, bookmarks, libraries, invites, and collaborations may take a few additional minutes to appear.
  • When migration is complete, you'll see a confirmation message and be signed in to your Enterprise ID or Federated ID account.
  • Your migrated content is now available in your new account.

Troubleshoot migration

If you see an error, select Cancel and Go Back to Sign in to return to the sign-in screen. When you sign in again:

  • If the interruption occurred before the migration started, you're taken back to the migration consent page.
  • If the interruption occurred after migration completed, you're signed in to your Enterprise ID or Federated ID account.
  • If the problem persists, contact your organization's IT administrator.
