Adobe Express Photos automatic installation
Starting early June 2026, Adobe Express Photos installs automatically on Windows devices for eligible Acrobat users with auto-update enabled.
To prevent installation, opt out before the next Acrobat update cycle.
Automatic installation applies to users who meet all of the following:
- Use Windows
- Are assigned an Acrobat Studio or Acrobat Express offer
- Have Acrobat auto-update enabled
To prevent Adobe Express Photos from installing through Acrobat updates, set the following registry key on the target machines before the next Acrobat auto-update:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown
Value: bDisableHarmonyInstallationFeature
Type: REG_DWORD
Data: 00000001
Uninstall and prevent reinstallation
If Adobe Express Photos is already installed:

Prevent reinstallation
To prevent the app from reinstalling during future Acrobat updates, configure the registry key to opt out of automatic installation.
Without this setting, the app will be reinstalled during the next auto-update cycle.
