Acrobat 2020 has reached End of Support as of November 30, 2025. If you continue to require a supported Acrobat desktop product, Acrobat Pro 2024 (3-year term license) is Adobe's latest desktop-only, non-subscription version of Acrobat.
Effective May 31, 2025, Adobe will no longer sell Acrobat Standard 2020 and Acrobat Pro 2020 licenses. Adobe will continue to offer subscription versions of Acrobat in the Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP), VIP Marketplace, Large Government Agencies (LGA), and Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA) Buying Programs.
Who is impacted?
The end-of-sale date will impact customers and channel partners looking to place orders for a perpetual version of Acrobat. Customers who have completed purchases of Acrobat perpetual software by the end-of-sale date will continue to have access to their existing software per the terms of their agreement.
Will there be a new version of Acrobat perpetual?
There will not be a new perpetual version of Acrobat beyond Acrobat 2020. However, customers looking for a desktop-only, non-subscription version of Acrobat can purchase a term license of Acrobat, named Acrobat Pro 2024, starting on July 15, 2024.
Acrobat Pro 2024 is a term license of desktop software that provides up to three years of paid access to Acrobat software and is available as a one-time, non-recurring purchase. Acrobat Pro 2024 does not include ongoing Acrobat product feature enhancements or access to premium Adobe Document Cloud services through web browsers or mobile devices.
