How can I purchase Acrobat or renew my subscription?

You can purchase a license for Acrobat or renew your subscription from within the application by following the link at the bottom of the right pane.

After your Acrobat DC trial expires, the Trial Expired message with the Buy Now link appears at the bottom of the right pane. Click Buy Now and follow the onscreen instructions.

After your Acrobat DC subscription expires, the Subscription Expired message with the Subscribe Now link appears at the bottom of the right pane. Click Subscribe Now and follow the onscreen instructions.

My trial / subscription has expired. Can I still use Acrobat DC to view my PDFs?

Yes, Acrobat DC lets you view PDF files even if your trial or subscription plan has expired. You can also use the free tools like Comment and Fill & Sign. But to experience and use the full capabilities to Acrobat DC, you need to purchase a license.

OK, I have purchased Acrobat DC. How do I license my expired copy of Acrobat DC?

If you purchased Adobe Acrobat DC via monthly or annual payment plan, follow the steps below.

For Windows

Method 1: For an Acrobat DC plan purchased on the same Adobe ID you used to sign in to Acrobat in trial mode or for subscription.

  1. In the tools pane on the right, click the Activate button. The following confirmation dialog box appears.

  2. Click OK. Restart Acrobat DC to activate it.

Method 2: For an Acrobat plan purchased on a different Adobe ID.

  1. In the tools pane on the right, click the Activate button. The Sign In screen appears.

  2. Click the Not your Adobe ID link. The following Sign In dialog box appears.

  3. Enter the Adobe ID and password you used to purchase your Acrobat DC plan, and click Sign In. The Thank You dialog box appears.

  4. Click Continue. A confirmation dialog box appears.

  5. Click OK. Restart Acrobat DC to activate it.

For Mac OS

  1. In the tools pane on the right, click the Activate button. The following information dialog box appears. Click OK.

  2. The Sign In screen appears. Click the Sign In button. (If you purchased the Acrobat DC plan on an Adobe ID other than the one shown, click the Not your Adobe ID link.)

    If you clicked Not your Adobe ID, the following Sign In dialog box appears. Enter the Adobe ID and password you used to purchase your Acrobat DC plan, and click Sign In

  3. The Thank You dialog box appears. Click Continue, and then restart Acrobat DC to activate it.

Note:

You can download and install Acrobat DC desktop application on multiple computers, regardless of operating system.
However, activation is limited to two computers per individual associated with the membership, and you may not use the software on these computers simultaneously. For more information, see the terms of use.

I purchased an Acrobat DC serial number — can I use it on an Acrobat trial?

If you purchased an Acrobat DC serial number, you need to download and install a separate Acrobat installer.

Before you install the newly downloaded Acrobat DC, uninstall the trial version already installed on your machine.

Can I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC now that my Acrobat has expired?

Yes, you can download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC at any time.
