Create perspective grid and draw objects

Select the Perspective Grid tool to view the grid in the document. along with the Plane Switching  widget.

Select the active plane where you want to create the object using the Plane Switching  widget.

Use the drawing tools to draw objects on the perspective grid.

Tip

You can specify the object's height, width, and other properties in perspective as you specify them in regular mode. 

Use perspective grid options

In the perspective grid, an active plane is where you draw an object to project the observer’s view of that portion of the scene. You can use this Plane Switching widget to select the active grid plane and set options to position the widget on any of the four screen corners.

Double-click the Perspective Grid  tool.

In the Perspective Grid Options dialog box, you can select the following options:

  • Show Active Plane Widget: Displays the Plane Switching widget when the checkbox is selected.
  • Widget Position: Select Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, or Bottom-Right to place the Plane Switching widget in the specified position in the document window.
  • Automatic Plane Positioning: Use the options to create objects by inferring the height or depth of the object. < link it to the exact page once migrated>
