In Adobe Photoshop, use the Path Selection tool to select the paths you want to move.

Note

You can select any path or path segment that appears in the Paths panel, including shape vector masks, work paths, and saved paths. Read more about how to select and move with the Path Selection tool.

To move the path to Illustrator, use copy and paste commands.

In the Paste Options dialog box, select whether to paste the path as a compound shape or a compound path. Select Compound Path to create transparent cutouts within shapes and select Compound Shape to combine objects in an editable, non-destructive way.

Tip

In Photoshop, select File > Export > Paths to Illustrator to import all paths without pixels from a Photoshop document, and then open the resulting file in Illustrator.
