Rearrange artboards

Learn how to rearrange artboards to organize the designs for smoother review and presentation.

Before you begin

The document must contain at least two artboards to use the Rearrange All Artboards option.

Select Window > Artboards.

In the Artboards panel, select Rearrange All Artboards .

In the Rearrange All Artboards dialog box, adjust the following settings as needed:

  • Layout: Determines the arrangement style of the artboards, such as Grid by Row, Grid by Column, Arrange by Row, or Arrange by Column.
  • Layout order: Specifies the direction in which artboards are arranged, such as Right-to-Left or Left-to-Right.
  • Columns: Specifies the number of columns for the artboard arrangement.
  • Spacing: Defines the amount of space between the artboards.
The Rearrange All Artboards dialog box is displayed on the screen, showcasing settings such as Layout, Layout order, Columns, and others.
In the Rearrange All Artboards dialog box, select Move Artwork with Artboard to move the artboard along with its artwork.

Select OK.

Select the Artboard   tool, and then select the artboards you want to rearrange.

Go to Window > Artboards to open the Artboards panel.

In the Artboards panel, select Rearrange

Select the Layout and Layout order in the Rearrange dialog box.

Specify the number of Columns or Rows based on the selected layout.

Specify the horizontal or vertical Spacing between the artboards.

Select OK and click anywhere on the canvas to apply the new arrangement.

Note

Select Move artwork with Artboard if you want the artwork to move along with the artboard.
