Rename artboards

Learn more about how to rename artboards.

Select Artboards from panels.

Note

If the Artboards icon isn’t visible in panels, select Window > Artboards.

Double-click on the artboard name in the Artboards panel.

Type in the new name and press Enter (Windows) or return (macOS).

Rename multiple artboards

Select Window > Artboards.

In the Artboards panel that opens, select the artboard(s) you want to rename.

Select Rename in the More Options   menu.

Type the new name in the Name field, and then select OK.

Rename multiple artboards in a numbered sequence

Select the artboards you want to rename as per your choice.

  • Shift - click the first and last artboard in a range to select all artboards in between.
  • Ctrl + A (Windows) or command + A (macOS) to select all artboards.
  • Select each artboard while pressing Ctrl (Windows) or command (macOS) to select nonsequential artboards.

In the Artboards panel, select more options , and then select Artboard Options.

In the Artboard Options dialog box, type the desired name in the Name field, and then press Enter (Windows) or return (macOS).

Note

The name you type will be applied to all selected artboards in a numbered sequence, for example, abc-1, abc-2, abc-3, and so on.

The Artboard Options dialog box displays settings to adjust the size and orientation of an artboard, with the Name field highlighted for renaming the artboard.
