Select artboards

Learn more about how to select artboards.

Selecting multiple artboards saves time when duplicating, copying, moving, or deleting them.

Select the Artboard tool and do any of the following:

  • To select an artboard, select the artboard.
  • To select multiple artboards, Shift - click the artboards.
  • To select all the artboards, press Ctrl + A (Windows) or command + A (macOS).

To select an Artboard

Select Artboards icon from panels.

Note

If the Artboards icon isn't visible in panels, select Window > Artboards.

In the Artboards panel, select the artboard name.

To select multiple Artboards

Select Artboards from panels.

In the Artboards panel, Shift - click the artboards.

Tip

Illustrator now outlines the active artboard with a black border, so you always know where you are working.

To select all the Artboards

Select Artboards from panels.

In the Artboards panel, press Ctrl + A (Windows) or command + A (macOS).

To select non-sequential Artboards

Select Artboards from panels.

In the Artboards panel, select artboard names while pressing Ctrl (Windows) or command (macOS).

Tip

To navigate between artboards, you can press Alt (Windows) or option (macOS) and use the arrow keys.
