Learn how to search and identify specific layers or objects to locate and edit elements in Illustrator artwork.

Use the Layers panel to modify artwork in a few simple steps.

  

Find layers

Select Window > Layers to open the Layers panel. 

In the Layers panel, select the Search All field and type the name of the layer you want to find.

Filter layers

In the Layers panel, select the Filter icon. 

Select the options from the By Object and By Layer sections to filter elements in your artwork based on their type and visibility.
