Group objects

Group objects to move or transform them as a single unit without changing their attributes or relative positions.

Select the objects to be grouped with the Selection tool.

Select Objects > Group.

Use the Object menu to group multiple selected objects into a single unit.

Ungroup objects

Ungroup objects to edit or move them independently. Grouped items stack behind the frontmost object and may shift to the topmost selected layer. Groups appear as <Group> items in the Layers panel, where you can move items in or out. 

Select the object group using the Selection tool.

Right-click and select Ungroup to separate the objects, or select Ungroup All to remove all groupings and nested groups.
