Use the Layers panel to modify artwork in a few simple steps.

Learn how to locate objects in collapsed layers quickly.

Select an object using the Selection tool.

Select Window > Layers to open the Layers panel.

In the Layers panel, select the Layers panel menu icon, and then select Locate Object.

Note

The option changes to Locate Layer if the Show Layers Only option is selected in the Panel Options.

If you select multiple objects, the topmost object in the stacking order will be located.
