Learn how to rotate live shapes in Illustrator.
Tip
Select the Rectangle tool and hold it to draw more live shapes using the Rounded Rectangle , Ellipse , Polygon , Shaper ,or, Star [icon] icon-ai-star-tool[icon] icon-ai-star-tool tool.
Move the cursor toward an anchor point until you see the rotate icon, then drag to rotate.
Note
To view the on-screen control widgets of the live shape, enable Show Shape Widgets in the Control panel.
Select View > Show Bounding Box if the Bounding box is not visible.
Tip
You can use the Transform panel to rotate live shapes precisely. Double-click any corner widget of the live shape to open the panel and specify the rotation angle in the Rotate field.
