Learn how to use onscreen control widgets to add or remove sides of a polygon.
Select the desired location on the artboard to create the shape.
Select the Polygon shape on the artboard to specify Radius and Sides in the Polygon dialog box, and then select OK.
To adjust the number of sides on a polygon, ensure View > Show Bounding Box is enabled, and the on-screen control widgets setting is set to Show Shape Widgets in the Control panel.
Drag the side widget to change the number of sides of the polygon. You can set values between 3 and 11 by dragging the side widget.
Select Shape in the Control panel and either drag the Polygon Slide Count slider or type a value in the field to set more than 11 sides
Note
You can also use the Control, Properties, or Transform panels to adjust shape properties more precisely. You can open the Transform panel by double-clicking any corner widget.
