Learn how to save the edited or modified object selections for reuse.

You can select multiple objects and save the selection for later use with the Save Selection option to move the objects together or change their appearance. However, unlike grouping, Save Selection  selects the objects without bringing them all to the same layer.

Select one or more objects using the Selection tool from the artwork.

Select Select > Save Selection.

Tip

You can also save the selection by selecting the Layers panel > Save Selection  > Save Selection.

In the Save Selection dialog box, enter the name for the selection and select OK.
