Reflect objects along an axis

Learn how to reflect objects along an axis in Adobe Illustrator.

Select the object that you’d want to reflect using the Selection tool.

Select Object > Transform > Reflect.

In the Reflect dialog box, select the Axis across which you want the object to be reflected.

Select OK.

Tip

Select Copy if you want to reflect a copy of the object.

Select the Real-Time Drawing and Editing checkbox to enhance the live appearance of objects:

Select Edit > Preferences > Performance. Then, select the Real-Time Drawing and Editing checkbox and select OK. [Windows]

Select Illustrator > Preferences > Performance. Then, select the Real-Time Drawing and Editing checkbox and select OK. [macOS]
