Adjust color balance

Learn more on how to refine the look and feel of the artwork by adjusting its color balance.

Select the object whose color you want to adjust using the Selection tool.

Select Edit > Edit Colors > Adjust Color Balance.

In the Adjust Colors dialog box, select the Fill and Stroke checkboxes available under Adjust Options.

In the Adjust Colors dialog box, adjust the following as required:

  • If you have selected any Global Process Color or Spot Color, use the Tint slider to adjust the intensity of the colors. Any non-global process colors you selected are not affected.
  • If you are working in the CMYK color mode and have selected non-global process colors, use the sliders to adjust the percentages of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black.
  • If you are working in the RGB color mode and have selected non-global process colors, use the sliders to adjust the percentages of Red, Green, and Blue.
  • If you want to convert the selected colors to Grayscale mode, then select Grayscale from the Color Mode dropdown list and select the Convert checkbox. You can further use the slider to adjust the percentage of Black.
Note

If you have selected any Global Process Color or Spot Color and want to convert them to non-global process colors, select either CMYK or RGB from the Color Mode list (depending on the Color Mode of the document) and select the Convert checkbox. You can further use the sliders to adjust the colors.

The Adjust Colors dialog box is displayed on the screen highlighting the selected Color Mode as RGB along with the sliders to adjust the Red, Green, and Blue color.
Use the Adjust Colors dialog box to select the desired Color Mode.

Select OK.
