Measure the distance between two points

Learn how to use the Measure tool to measure the distance between any two points and their angle relative to the artboard axes.
Do one of the following to measure the distance between two points:
- Click the first point, and then click the second point.
- Click the first point and drag to the second point. A temporary line appears as you drag. Shift‑drag to constrain the line to multiples of 45°.
The Info panel opens automatically and shows the horizontal H and vertical V distances between the points, the actual distance D between them, and the angle of the imaginary line connecting them relative to the artboard axes.
