Follow along with a sample file to learn how to recolor an artwork.

Explore various color schemes using Generative Recolor.

Select the artwork you want to recolor using the Selection tool.

Note

You need to select colored vector artwork to use Generative Recolor.

Select Edit > Edit Colors > Generative Recolor to open the Generative Recolor panel.

In the Prompt field, describe the color palette or theme you want to generate.

Tip

Explore the sample prompts in the Sample Prompts section of the Generative Recolor panel if you want to recolor without writing your own prompt.

To get a specific set of colors in the output, select Add colors to guide the prompt   , and add up to five colors.

Select Generate . You get multiple variations as output in the Variations section of the Generative Recolor panel.

Select the variations to preview them on the canvas, and then select the one that best suits your artwork.

Refine the output

If you want to refine the colors in an output variation, select Edit > Edit Colors > Recolor Artwork.

Provide feedback on the output

Hover over a variation, select See more options  , and then select Good Result or Bad Result.
