Paste an object relative to other objects

Select the object you want to paste using the Selection tool.

Select Edit > Copy.

Select the target object in front of which or behind which you want to paste.

Select any of the given paste commands as required:

  • Edit > Paste in Front: Pastes the object directly in front of the selected object.
  • Edit > Paste in Back: Pastes the object directly behind the selected object.

Paste objects between layers

Select the object(s) you want to move using the Selection tool.

Select Edit > Copy.

Select Window > Layers.

In the Layers panel, select the target layer where you want to paste the object.

Select Edit > Paste in Place.
