Learn how to select the individual elements of a graph in Adobe Illustrator.
A graph is a grouped object that is related to its data. Elements of a graph are related to each other. The entire graph with its legends is one group. To edit a graph, select the parts you want to edit without ungrouping the graph.
Select the legend of the columns.
Select the legend again to include all the columns grouped with the legend.
To deselect part of a selected group, select the Direct Selection tool, and Shift-click the object.
